Adult Group Vocal

Have you always wanted to learn how to sing?

In this 10 week course, Students will explore breathing technique, developing range and tone, how to warm up your voice, learning to sing in a group and exploring different song styles. This is a fun class in an encouraging environment. Classes are 1hr.

Improvisation Ensemble

This class gives all students a chance to jam, improvise and create music as a group. In addition to developing their playing skills students will improve their listening skills by learning how to play all parts of the piece. As well discover new ways to express themselves by playing with other musicians.

The ensemble group will work on group warm ups, practicing specific techniques and concepts related to the pieces currently working on in class.

• Students must be at an intermediate playing level.
• Students must bring their instrument to class.
• Practice expectations: students are expected to learn parts to the arrangements and work on the concepts that are taught in class.

Songwriting 101

This 10 week course will explore the basics of songwriting. Concepts taught:

• Constructing a song
• Creativity and inspiration
• Subject matter
• Melody and lyrics
• Putting it all together.

Please bring a note book, manuscript paper, pencil and eraser.
