Our private lessons tailored to school-aged children, from ages 5 and a half years old to 17 years of age, engage, educate and foster their love for music and turn it into a tangible skill set. Edmonton Academy of Music has a wide variety of instruments as well as our vocal arts program to suit student’s interests. Whether a beginner or an advanced student there are programs that will connect students to their passion.

Classes are available in a variety of instruments for adults, as well as our vocal program. Teachers will tailor lesson plans according to the students current level, style and interests. As adults, we understand that time can be a challenge, and may require flexibility—you will find courses that are short terms as well as year round programs.

For our young and budding musicians, we offer The Young Musicians Package, where we teach piano classes for children aged 5 and a half – 17 years of age. These 20-minute private lessons use an on-bench, off-bench approach to their learning that proves to be the most effective in keeping them present and focused. Using musical games as well as listening to pieces helps deepen their learning and understanding of music and all of its intricacies. The students will have one-on-one instruction with their teacher on a weekly basis. These lessons lay the groundwork for learning the piano in a shorter time span. They’ll begin to focus and enjoy the lessons through our unique teaching approach.
