Mr. Dominelli has been teaching and performing throughout the world for the past 25 years. Dino comes from a musical family where he has inherited his vast knowledge of music and education.

Dino holds a jazz performance diploma in saxophone and woodwinds from the highly acclaimed Humber College known as one of Canada’s prestige’s music schools. He later achieved a Bachelor of Music from The Thompsons River University specializing in jazz pedagogy/ ethnomusicology.

Dominelli is the 2013 winner of the Taichung Saxophone competition in Taiwan where he has also worked with countless high-profile artists from China and Taiwan. He is regularly seen on stage with such greats as the Temptations and the Four Tops, Chubby Checker, The Shirelle Sisters. Bobby Curtola, Alfie Zappacosta and Don Thompson.

Dino has been recently featured at the Edmonton International Jazz Festival, Edmonton Yardbirdsuite and Festival Place. While promoting his album “Faith in You” he also finds the time to go abroad as he works as a musical director for the Sands Corporation of Las Vegas in Macao.

Currently, Dominelli is teaching music clinics throughout Alberta in elementary, middle schools and high schools and all sorts of music enrichment courses. Dominelli has been honored with the many successful students that have gone onto careers of music and music education under his tutelage.

Dino has found a new home at Edmonton Academy of Music and he is looking forward to helping students pursue their goals and enrich their talents.
