Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg, a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Alberta, and is an alumni of the Center for Operatic Studies in Italy. She is certified in Levels 1-3 of Somatic Voice Works, the Lovetri Method and is currently pursing her certification of Alexander Technique under the direction of Candace Cox.

Jennifer is experienced in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, pop and musical theatre and enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities. She strives to create a fun and supportive learning environment, building confidence while developing vocal technique and essential music skills. Lessons are tailored to meet each student’s individual needs and goals, whether preparing for an RCM exam or performing at an open mic night.

Jennifer regularly sings at recitals, events and house concerts. A versatile performer with both acting and singing credits, she played Mollie Ralston in the Mouse Trap (Peninsula  Players, Sidney B.C) and spent several years performing with an improv group (Spilt Milk comedy, Victoria B.C). She has performed the role of La Natura in La Calisto (Centre for Operatic Studies, Suloma, Itlay) and appeared as The First Touriere in Suor Angelica (Pop Goes the Opera, Edmonton AB.)

  • Come prepared!
  • Please arrive at your lessons on time with your music, a water bottle and a note book.
  • Music is a journey and you will get out of it what you put in. Regular practice is necessary to advance your skills.
  • Have a positive attitude!
  • Learning to sing is a wonderful endeavour and you will learn a lot about yourself in the process. I invite you to bring an open mind and a sense of humour to your lessons.
